We are dedicated to getting you out and pedaling smoothly again regardless of the type and age of your bicycle. Whether your bike is in need of a minor adjustment or a major overhaul, our team of exceptional mechanics will get you taken care of quickly. Our tune ups all include a thorough check for safety and end with a test ride by the mechanic. Please note that e-bikes often require much more labor, and will be billed hourly vs a set tune-up charge. See below.
Prefer the simple life and are living your best life on a single speed, fixie or beach cruiser? This is the tune for you! We make sure your bike is ready for whatever comes with the following services:
This is our standard tune-up for all geared bikes, and is recommended annually for most bikes with moderate usage. All the following are included:
Stepping it up! This is the same as the Doris Creek tune-up package, but also includes:
Sometimes you've put in enough miles to justify a complete strip-down and re-assemble of your bike, which is everything listed above plus detailed removal and/or service of all bearings, pivots, shifters, cables, brake lines, and suspension (if you have it). Rather than have a one-price-covers all policy, we only charge for what your bike requires. We are more than happy to provide a detailed quote when you bring your bike in to us.
Yes, we do work on e-bikes and are certified mechanics for several system manufacturers such as Bosch, Shimano and Dyname. However, we do not work on all e-bikes or any e-motorcycles or e-scooters. Please give us a call prior to bringing your bike in to confirm it is one we can work on. Pricing will vary somewhat based on the complexity of the bike and includes software updates if available.
Some atypical things associated with your cycling lifestyle
Let A7 Cycles evaluate the used bike you are considering so that you don't have any surprises. We will provide thorough written notes of adjustments and repairs needed. This is a small investment in peace of mind.
Did you just purchase a bike that needs put together? Protect that investment with professional assembly and avoid future headaches due to a poor initial build and tune. In addition, we will do a thorough check on used bikes so that you know exactly what you purchased. Pricing varies based on complexity of build, with a frame-up build being the most expensive.
Sometimes bike assembly is much less involved and therefor doesn't take nearly as long. When that's the case, we pass our time savings along to you! Most cruiser bikes, single speeds and kid's bikes with 12-24" tires fall in to this category.
Want to build the bike of your dreams? Let us help you choose the right frame and parts for your need so that all of those bits are compatible. We have a lot of parts in stock and are happy to source the rest, or you are free to purchase from your vendor of choice. Either way, we will professionally assemble everything once it arrives.
The following are the most-requested bicycle repairs. If you need something you don't see, contact us or drop by the shop; we can offer guidance and provide a quote.

Essentially, most electric motorized bike repair, service and maintenance is very similar to that of traditional bikes. However, there are unique challenges due to the additional complexities of e-bikes. So, while some minor repair and tune up charges are about the same, we have found that we need to bill for e-bike services by the hour. We are unable to work on all e-bike brands, so please call prior to bringing your bike in to the shop.
*Minimum charge of $50 for all e-bike diagnosis & service.
**Shop prices are subject to change. Unless otherwise specified, the cost of parts needed for service is not included in pricing**
